Wed 16th: Puppets & Narrative Wall Art

Tell a story through movement and imagery! This workshop is all about expressive characters and symbolic storytelling. In the morning, craft poseable puppets full of personality, and in the afternoon, create a decorative wall piece that tells a story through layers, colour, and design.

Morning, 10-1pm: Characters in Motion
Build a jointed puppet with moving arms, legs, or even tails. Inspired by books, movies, folklore, and animation, design a character that’s whimsical, dramatic, or just plain fun. Use bold colours, patterns, and unique details to give your puppet a personality all its own.

Afternoon, 1-4pm: Wall Hanging Stories
Turn your favorite dream, memory, or fairytale into a hanging artwork that tells a story in one frame. Whether it’s a symbolic scene, an abstract landscape, or a visual diary of your favourite place, layer textures, shapes, and colors to create a piece that speaks without words.
